I was asked if I’d lead a book club discussion about The Pear District. I said yes. I put together a list of questions, and the group—the number to be determined by who shows up—will meet November 8th at the World Food Market in the Pearl District. Should be interesting as it will coincide with the mid-term elections results. How the proposed charter reform does will be important to the economic recovery and resolution of several local issues that focus of homelessness, social disruption and crime in Portland, especially downtown and in the Pearl.

And for me, I get a chance to get some feedback on the themes I wrote about as well as if the narrative has some educational value to the reader. I’m excited to find out what the reader’s responses will be…
